Individual Volunteers

Volunteering is a great way to develop yourself while serving our community. Committed, reliable volunteers are able to expand their resume, establish potential references, enhance their skill set, explore career options, and experience the satisfaction of helping others in the community.

Volunteering at IHS is a wonderful way to make new friends and contacts while helping out people who are homeless.

Volunteers are needed everywhere, from tutoring children after school to office help and janitorial work. Please see our application for a complete list of volunteer opportunities.

Are you ready to volunteer? Get started today by filling out our application and submit online via email (volunteer@ihs-hawaii.org), or print it out and fax, mail, or bring it in with you to orientation.

The next orientation is Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2011 @ 3:00pm

Requirements:

• Complete an application form
• Attend an orientation (1 hour)
• Make a minimum of a 3-month commitment
• Submit a TB test or chest x-ray if you’d like to work in the meal program
